About the role
We are seeking an experienced Java Lead Developer to join our team at HCL Technologies Malaysia SDN BHD in Kuala Lumpur. As a Java Lead, you will be responsible for leading a team of developers and driving the development of mission-critical banking applications using Java, Unix, and Shell Script technologies. What you'll be doing Lead a team of Java developers to design, develop, and maintain banking applicationsDevelop, maintain, and optimize Java-based applications in a Linux/Unix environment.Write and maintain Unix Shell Scripts for automation and process optimization.Perform system design, troubleshooting, and debugging of Java applications and Unix scripts.Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutionsEnsure compliance with banking sector standards and best practices.Mentor and train junior developers to enhance their skills and knowledgeImplement code reviews, testing, and deployment processes to ensure high-quality deliverablesStay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in the Java ecosystemWhat we're looking for 9+ Years of Proven experience as a Java Developer or Java LeadProficiency in Java including experience with multithreading, object-oriented design, and design patterns.Strong grasp of frameworks like Spring and Hibernate.Prior experience in developing and maintaining systems for the banking and financial services domain.Experience with writing Unix Shell Scripts for automation, task scheduling, and process management in a Linux environment.Strong understanding of Linux environments for application deployment and management.Experience with Linux system commands, file system, and process management.Familiarity with financial products, regulatory requirements, and risk management.Familiarity with agile development methodologies and best practicesExcellent problem-solving and critical thinking skillsAbility to work collaboratively in a team and mentor junior developersEffective communication and stakeholder management skillsWhat we offer Competitive salary and performance-based bonusesComprehensive health insurance and retirement benefitsOpportunities for career advancement and professional developmentFlexible work arrangements and work-life balance initiativesSupportive and inclusive company cultureAbout us
