Job Controller (Sdac Penang)

Responsibilities Arrange all vehicles sent in for repairs / maintenance to the appropriate work bay for work to be carried out.Inform service advisor of delay in repairs and additional repairs / defects.Coordinate with Foreman to distribute repair orders to the workshop teams depending on skill and automotive specialty.Monitor progress of repairs and services by following up directly with technicians. GDMS/System repairs progress vs. Actual repair progress. Responsibility also includes clock-in/out for technicians.Coordinate with Foreman to conduct final quality and cleanliness control on vehicles before release to customers.Update Service Advisors as to status and timing of repairs to facilitate their communication with customers.Ensure that repair order estimates for additional repairs are forwarded in a timely manner to Service Advisors to gain approval for the repairs.Monitor workshop workflow and make adjustments as necessary to improve efficiency.Coordinate with subcontractors (machine shop, key cutters, etc) to perform required services.Track items sent for repairs outside the company and facilitate their timely return delivery.Undertake additional related responsibilities as required.Qualification Diploma/Degree holder in Automotive Engineering, or equivalent.An equivalent 6 years' experience in heading an automotive technical workforce.
