Junior Fashion Designer

Job Responsibilities:
Assist in the creation of new designs and collections for modern women's apparel, focusing on the latest trends and customer preferences.
Prepare sketches, technical drawings, and mood boards to present design ideas.
Assist in selecting fabrics, trims, and materials for each collection.
Work under the guidance of senior designers to translate creative ideas into ready-to-wear collections.
Collaborate with the production and merchandising teams to ensure designs are cost-effective and meet production requirements.
Participate in design meetings, brainstorming sessions, and fittings.
Production Responsibilities:
Assist with quality control and review samples to ensure designs meet brand standards.
Provide input during production to ensure garments are manufactured accurately.
Help manage timelines for design, sampling, and production phases.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Experience in fashion design, with hands-on experience.
Prior experience working in an SME environment is an added advantage.
Degree or Diploma in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a related field.
Proven experience in retail management, preferably in a similar industry such as fashion retail or apparel sales.
Basic knowledge of sewing and garment construction.
