Key Responsibilities:
Pastry Preparation and Execution:Assist in the preparation and baking of a variety of pastries, desserts, and breads.
Ensure consistency and quality in all baked goods, following recipes and presentation standards.
Decorate pastries and desserts to enhance presentation.Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry section.
Assist in inventory management by tracking stock levels and notifying the Head Pastry Chef of shortages.
Operate and maintain baking equipment in compliance with safety and hygiene standards.
Collaboration and Learning:Work closely with the Head Pastry Chef and kitchen team to ensure smooth operations.
Participate in menu development by contributing ideas for new pastries and desserts.
Continuously develop skills through hands-on experience and training.Compliance and Safety:Adhere to health and safety regulations, ensuring food hygiene and cleanliness at all times.
Follow proper storage and labeling practices for ingredients and finished products.Qualifications:
Diploma or certification in Pastry Arts, Baking, Culinary Arts, or related field.
1-2 years of experience in a pastry or baking role, preferably in a café or restaurant setting.
Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and equipment.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Creative flair with an eye for presentation.
A team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
