In theJunior Product Designerrole, you'd be working closely with our Product, Design & Engineering teams to create user-centric and visually appealing interfaces for our virtual experiences. You will have the opportunity to learn from experienced designers, collaborate on projects, and contribute your own creative ideas.
You don't need to be an expert or know everything about our industry (even we don't!). But the work is challenging, fast-paced, and always on the bleeding edge. So, we're looking for someone who is organised, inquisitive, has a strong drive to make things happen, and a passion to keep improving yourself.
To top it off, we welcome any design (e.g., Graphic Design, User Experience Design, Industrial Design) undergraduate scholars who are switched on and really ready to make good use of their semester breaks!
What you will do:Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Managers and Engineers, to design and develop user interfaces and experiences for various StoreHub products.
Take ownership of the design lifecycle for product features, from low-fidelity sketches and wireframes to high-fidelity mockups and final design handoffs.
Conduct and analyze user research to gather insights, identify pain points, and inform design decisions, ensuring user-centered solutions.
Contribute to the creation and maintenance of design documentation, guidelines, and standards to ensure consistency and scalability across all product designs.
Continuously iterate on designs based on user feedback, data, and evolving business needs, ensuring our products meet both user and company goals.
Advocate for best practices in design and usability, bringing fresh perspectives to the team and challenging the status quo.
What you will need:Proactive mindset, willingness to learn, and ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
A degree in a related field (e.g., Graphic Design, User Experience Design, Web Design) or equivalent professional experience. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply for this role.
Strong proficiency in Figma or similar tools, with demonstrated ability to create interactive prototypes and collaborate effectively within the tool.
Strong understanding of design principles, user experience, and usability best practices.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
A strong portfolio showcasing your design process, problem-solving skills, and final product designs.
Bonus if you have:Basic understanding of HTML/CSS or familiarity with front-end development principles.
Experience working with design systems or contributing to their development.
Experience conducting usability testing or other user research methodologies.
Ability to converse in Mandarin.
