Kitchen Crew / Assistant

We are looking for a skilled and friendly **KITCHEN CREW** to join our team! This position plays a big role in basic food preparation, receiving and storing products in kitchens. Your ultimate goal should be to prepare food with quality and standards.**JOB REQUIREMENTS**- At least 6 months experience as a Kitchen Helper position or above in Western Food preparation- Know-how using the frying pan, electric induction and grill- Able to work 6 days in a week, in shift**JOB DESCRIPTION****FOOD PREPARATION**- Assist in basic food preparation- Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment- Prepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat etc.)- Cook food in various utensils or grillers- Check food while cooking to stir or turn- Arrange for ovens and cooking ranges to be set at proper heat levels- Ensure great presentation by dressing dishes before they are served- Aesthetically place food items on plates and platters for serving purposes- Packing take-out orders as needed- Packaging customers' leftover food upon request**FOOD QUALITY**- Follow all food health and safety requirements- Adhere to timing standards for products and services- Ensure hot food is hot and cold food is cold**CLEANLINESS**- Load and unload dishwasher- Clean and sanitize food preparation work stations- Clean and sanitize storage area- Clean and sanitize dishes, cookware, and utensils- Sanitation through the proper use of commercial cleaning equipment insuring the cleanliness of dinnerware- Removing trash and clearing storage bins- Mopping and sweeping the kitchen areas as required**INGREDIENT & STOCK CONTROL & OTHERS**- Check quality of ingredients- Monitor stock and place orders when there are shortages- Receive and store goods- Monitor chiller/freezer temperature**COMMUNICATION**- Communicate order details with Service Staff- Communicate kitchen needs to manager- Interact with customers as needed- Reporting all damaged or faulty equipment to manager**Job Type**: Part-time**Salary**: RM1,600.00 - RM2,500.00 per month**Benefits**:- Meal provided- Opportunities for promotion- Professional developmentSchedule:- Afternoon shift- Night shift- Rotational shiftSupplemental pay types:- Attendance bonus- Overtime payApplication Question(s):- List down 5 best dishes you can cook by yourself.**Experience**:- Kitchen Helper / Assistant / Crew: 1 year (required)**Language**:- English (required)Shift availability:- Night Shift (required)- Day Shift (required)
