Job Responsibilities:
Assist in food preparation tasks, including chopping vegetables, preparing meats, and assembling ingredients.
Follow recipes and cooking procedures to ensure consistency and quality in food preparation.
Operate kitchen equipment such as slicer and fryers safely and efficiently.
Cook and plate food items according to established standards and presentation guidelines.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen area, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste.
Assist with inventory management, including receiving deliveries, rotating stock, and monitoring food supplies.
Collaborate with other kitchen team members to ensure timely preparation and delivery of food orders.
Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines to maintain a safe and hygienic kitchen environment.
Follow instructions from kitchen supervisors or chefs and communicate any issues or concerns promptly.
Participate in training sessions and continuous learning opportunities to improve culinary skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
Prior experience working in a kitchen or food service environment preferred but not required.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to communicate effectively and work well in a team.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects as needed.
Willingness to learn and take direction from kitchen supervisors and chefs.
