Job Scope :
Food Preparation: Washing, chopping, and measuring ingredients for cooking. This may also include preparing simple dishes.
Cleaning: Keeping the kitchen and dining areas clean, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste.
Stocking Supplies: Organizing and restocking kitchen supplies and ingredients, ensuring everything is readily available for cooking.
Assisting Chefs: Supporting chefs and cooks with various tasks, such as cooking, plating, and garnishing dishes.
Equipment Maintenance: Ensuring kitchen equipment is clean and in good working order.
Following Safety Protocols: Adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines to prevent contamination and ensure a safe cooking environment.
Basic Cooking: In some settings, you may be responsible for cooking simple items or assisting with more complex tasks as you gain experience.
Customer Service: In some roles, interacting with customers, especially in a front-of-house position, may be part of the job.
