As part of their growth plans, they are seeking to hire registered, dedicated, and experienced Laboratory Nurse to be part of their team.
Responsibilities: Responsible for the assessment of donors in the Blood donation center and patients that are referred from ward/OPC clinics Responsible for performing nursing care and coordination of the Blood & Bone Marrow Unit of the Laboratory Phlebotomy Services: Participate in the phlebotomy and care for donors.
Participate in phlebotomy services for patients at the satellite laboratories.
Patient Care Services: Perform patient assessment for intervention procedures (pre, during and post procedure).
Perform venesection on patient when requested by the physician.
Perform patient assessment if and when emergency arises.
Perform collection of Stem Cells and plasmapheresis procedure.
Donor Care & Donation Center Duties: Answer relevant questions asked by the donor or when required, refer donor to appropriate healthcare professional for advice.
Handle all blood donations for volunteers and autologous donations in the unit.
Interview and assess donor eligibility for all types of donation.
Ensure safety of all blood donors during and after donation session.
Maintain cleanliness of the Donation center and ensure proper aseptic conditions are met and maintained for the area and equipment used.
Ensure readiness of emergency response equipment.
Perform data entry for the registration of blood donors in HMS.
Prepare time-off letters to donors upon request.
Arrange appointments of donors who need counselling by doctors.
Ensure all the forms are properly filled and keep all records updated.
Call donor for resampling when positive results for infectious diseases are encountered.
Prepare notification letter when the result is finalized.
Prepare all necessary items and participate in mobile donation sessions.
Prepare GSP screening vouchers for eligible donors.
Set up and perform plateletpheresis procedure.
Key Requirements: Diploma or Degree in Nursing.
State Registered Nurse preferably with 3 to 4 years of working experience Relevant Post Basic qualification will be an advantage Valid Annual Practicing Certificate (APC) Able to communicate in Bahasa Malaysia & English (written & spoken) Computer Literate Good Interpersonal Care and communication skills Remunerations & Benefits: Min Basic Salary RM3,000 Those with direct industry experience with higher salary bracket will be considered Opportunity for career growth.
