POSITION : LAND SURVEYING TECHNICIAN Job Descriptions: Coordinate on-site activities and verify alignments and levels. Confirm exact locations, mark routes and boundaries with rods and stakes.Oversee all survey-related tasks at project sites.Prepare survey drawings and update data and records as needed, as part of topography survey to map locations, obtain measurements of points, etc and verify data through calculations, in accordance with survey plans, produce reports and drawings in cost-efficient and efficient manner.Calculate angels to plot slope and other land feature.Prepare survey as-built drawings, record survey data, construction setting out and levelling.Research existing information about pieces of land.Manage detailed line conformity, propose corrections for misaligned parts.Liaise with authorities, clients and consultants to resolve site survey issues.Assist with zoning and permitting applications, ensuring compliance with local regulations.Maintain and be responsible for all survey equipment, Monitor scheduled calibration of equipment to ensure the accuracy and reliability of data obtained and assess equipment condition, and safe-keeping of the survey equipment.Write off irreplaceable survey equipment and submit purchase orders for new equipment as and when necessary.Establish and measure stable main axis control network points and levels.To manage and file all survey records.To practice and implement quality system (ISO9001:2015).To supervise, control and co-ordinate the activities of workers engaged at construction site by ensuring that all works are carried out in accordance to drawings and specifications.To monitor, keep record and report on progress of work daily to immediate superior.Handle rectification works, monitor and plan with superior on site problems.To perform additional duties and/or ad-hoc work as required by the Management from time to time.
