What is your mission?
? Maintain an expert knowledge of our filters, along with the tools you will use to fine-tune them.
? Respond to filter-associated problems, questions, and necessary changes on a day-to-day basis.
? Continually QA, calibrate, and hone our filters by observing trends and analysing false positives/negatives.
? Maintain a strong understanding of Community and Safety Policy guidelines.
? Maintain a deep, active, and dynamic knowledge of your language market(s)'s pop culture, current affairs, and online vernacular.
? Support the moderators of your local office/language market:
? Spend ample time working in moderation queues and maintain confidence among your market team(s) as their authority for language moderation.
? Provide your market team(s) with tangible pop culture & current affairs material (e.g., magazine subscriptions).
? Conduct frequent workshops to local agents on pop culture & current affairs.
? Support broader Trust & Safety projects.
Who are we looking for?
? Strong proficiency in English as well as fluency in your first language.
? Excellent grasp of online communication.
? You will be required to undergo a criminal record check (paid for by the company). Applicants with a criminal record related to sexual misconduct, hate crimes, or harm to a minor will not be able to work on this team.
? Experience in working with online/gaming communities, either professionally or as a hobby.
? Demonstrable understanding of current affairs and pop culture within your language/market.
? Ability to work with issues and content concerning self-harm, harm to others, sexual abuse, hate, etc.
Nice-to-Haves
? Post-secondary education in language or cultural studies is a major asset.
? The more languages spoken, written, or read, the better.
? A love for the written word and an interest in its constantly evolving popular expression.
