About the role:
Barry Callebaut Digital (BC Digital) is on a mission to lead the digital revolution in the chocolate industry, and we're looking for a Lead Architect driving the design, development, and integration of our cutting-edge SAP solutions. Reporting to the Director SAP Practice, you will drive and oversee the creation of strategic roadmaps and provide architectural SAP solution designs, while ensuring the integration across connected ecosystems. As part of the SAP practice team, you will review the implementation of user stories in line with the solution design and guidelines for the whole SAP platform and ensure alignment with business requirements and industry best practices. You will also evaluate architectural changes and contribute to the further development of SAP processes and standards within the company, enhancing our differentiating digital capabilities.
Key responsibilities:
Transform Business Needs into SAP Solutions: Collaborate with the SAP architecture team to design and implement solutions that align with business requirements.
Drive Innovation: Deploy 'Think-Tanks' to tackle complex business challenges and deliver best-in-class SAP solutions.
Lead Project Solutioning: Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of SAP solutions, from white papers and proof-of-concepts to design, build, testing, user acceptance, and documentation delivery.
Design Validation: Regularly assess solution designs to ensure alignment with business objectives.
Champion Continuous Improvement: Lead programs to refine the SAP Global Template design using insights from business report cards.
Vendor Management: Oversee vendor partners to deliver integration solutions on time and within budget, managing both time-and-materials and fixed-price contracts.
Define Architecture Standards: Establish and promote SAP architecture standards and strategies to align with enterprise goals.
Support Strategic Decisions: Collaborate with executive management and project teams to guide technology strategies and ensure successful implementation.
About you:
Educational Background: Graduate degree in IT/technology, data, computer science, engineering, business administration, or a comparable field.
Extensive SAP Expertise: 10+ years of SAP functional experience with demonstrated competency in: SAP ECC 6 Functional, S4/HANA Functional, ABAP software development methodologies and procedures.
Language Proficiency: Fluency in English.
Passion for Digital Technology: A proactive approach to exploring and implementing innovative solutions to enhance processes, decision-making, and user experiences.
Agile Mindset: Ability to embrace flexible methodologies and adapt to rapidly changing digital trends and business needs.
Collaborative Team Player: Dedication to team success by sharing knowledge, supporting colleagues, and fostering a collaborative environment.
Problem-Solving & Analytical Skills: Demonstrated ability to analyze complex issues and deliver effective solutions.
Excellent Communication Skills: Strong ability to convey complex problems clearly and persuasively to internal and external stakeholders.
