Role OverviewWe are currently looking for an experienced Lead Host – Kitchen / Chef de Partie to join us in this exciting journey with the first Hyatt House in South East Asia. This position reports directly to the Chef de Cuisine.
Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinates all mise-en-place and supplies.
Assists to monitor closely the requirements and order the food items at the right time and in the right quantity for the intended use.
Observes methods of food preparation and cooking, sizes of portions, and garnishing of foods to ensure food is prepared in prescribed manner.
Coordinates with Sales Department and follows up on Food requests and meeting room setup.
Coordinates with suppliers or contractors to ensure the daily maintenance and monthly deep cleaning of all kitchen equipment.
Controls food costs through the proper management of food and drinks inventories on a daily basis and payroll expenses for both full-time employees and part-time casuals.
Suggests improvements to Chef de Cuisine to enhance food quality.
Ensures that all machines, furniture (fridges, benches, etc.), equipment, and utensils are clean and in working condition at all times.
Checks all assigned areas regarding sanitation and hygiene contamination of any kind.
