You will join our Payroll and Benefit Department As our new Lead - Payroll you will be part of the payroll and Benefit team
Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:
Provide necessary support and cross coverage to Payroll & Benefits Specialist in India, Middle East and APAC region, on overall payroll processes. Investigate and resolve any discrepancies in payroll, with appropriate quality checks and auditing. Act as subject matter expert, providing timely advice to stakeholders, HR Operations, Finance, Legal, Compliance and Payroll Specialist on high level and complex payroll issues. Conduct monthly payroll checking and act as final approver for India, Middle East and APAC region ensuring timely payroll processing. KPI reporting to leadership on the key performance indicators – PF, F&F, Gratuity, Bonus, One-time payments, Payroll and other payments. Conduct payroll vendor analysis ensuring payroll systems used are in compliant and overall pricing of payroll system provides the best value for India, Middle East and APAC region. Ensure we have all documentation processes, P-Maps, policies, guidelines to follow in all countries. Proactively identify, manage and propose improvements to payroll processes in India, Middle East and APAC region. Ensuring the quality processing for the payroll for India, APAC and ME employees and records of all audits. Statutory compliance management and vendor management for the same. Review changes to base salary, tax etc. and ensures changes are incorporated in the payroll system and Incorporate variety of deductions into a periodic payroll. Update payroll records by reviewing and approving changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job titles, and department/ division transfers. Ensuring the Making of Full & Final Settlement of resigned employees is as per SLA. Prepare detailed variance analysis with previous month pay-out and explain differences to reach "zero" reconciling amount. Taking care of employee wise details reimbursement, verifying the bills and finalize for payment. Preparation of TDS Return on quarterly basis and issue form-16 to employees Responsible for Statutory returns like PF, ESI, PT, LWF, TDS and other acts in India, Middle East (Saudia Arabia and UAE) and APAC region (Singapore, Malaysia, Australia, Hong Kong, Japan and South Korea) Reconciliation of CTC, reimbursement, and all statutory deduction on quarterly basis Responsible to handle internal and external audit. Handling year-end activities like investment proof submission and validation Responsible for generating MIS report and share the same with management. Handling query and discussion with employees over telephone and e-mail and conduct help desk at various locations via vendors or Internal team. Proven work experience as Payroll Lead or other related profile in India, Middle East and APAC region Proven ability to work with all levels of the organization and across functional areas. Candidate must possess strong knowledge in benefit and compensation principals, Income Tax, Provident Fund, Labour Laws and Retirals for India, Middle East and APAC region (Singapore, Malaysia, Australia, Hong Kong, Japan and South Korea) Strong knowledge of statutory compliances relating to Payroll like PF/ ESI/ PTax/ LWF and TDS, Year end Tax filling for certain countries is required. Inhouse Payroll process management experience is must. Experience of implementation of Payroll tools for the various country Payroll processes. Good command over Microsoft Office Suite including advance excel. Personal qualities that will help you succeed in this role include:
