Job description:We are looking to hire a Lead, Process Engineering – Technical Authority. This position is based in Doha, at QatarEnergy Headquarters, with the Engineering Department supporting our offshore Asset.
Primary Purpose of the Job:Accountable for managing Process Engineering activities and a team of Process Engineers. The major activities include supporting day-to-day operation of the plant, managing the concept/FEED/EPC design work for asset development projects carried out by Contractors and managed in-house, and providing all asset-related input to the major project team.
Key Accountabilities:
Support the execution of major projects executed by POI by providing the Process Engineering input.
Manage the Process Engineering activities with in-house engineering to assist Field Operations Department (FOPS), ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the IS asset.
Manage the execution of the in-house Process Engineering by managing available resources to create Process deliverables related to studies and Detailed Engineering activities. Participate in safety studies.
Manage the Process Engineering activity with resources internally and externally for the execution of brownfield projects.
Provide Process Engineering assistance to Operations by advising on possible bottlenecks to increase production, carry out compressor operating envelope monitoring, and approve MOC from a Process Engineering perspective.
Inform and update the Head of Engineering about progress, opportunities, and potential concerns related to Process.
Provide Process Engineering inputs and expertise to support the development of new business initiatives.
Provide mentoring and support the development of Process Engineers within the team.
Participate in Process Engineering workshops, providing input to Process guideline development.
Qualifications / Knowledge / Skills / Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.
Minimum of 15 years O&G industry experience.
Five years in FE&C projects preferred.
Well versed in Simulation, equipment sizing, PFD/PEFS, steady and transient flow analysis, Control narratives, and C&E, etc.
Recognized expertise and leadership in Process Engineering.
Experience in operational troubleshooting, process risk management, and providing necessary support to construction & commissioning methods.
Leadership and interpersonal skills to lead the Process Engineering Team.
Working knowledge of company business processes and regulatory requirements.
Managing and measuring work through the use of appropriate metrics and key performance indicators.
