Managing the field of responsibility to achieve Global Direct Procurement targets on cost, delivery, quality, innovation and sustainability.
Technical overview of the managed categories, considering market intelligence, product and production process know-how in the field of responsibility.
Participate in the commercial relationship, business review meetings, supply agreements, KPI achievement, audits, supplier visits and risk mitigation activities for strategic suppliers defined in the category strategies
Coordinate & lead of multi-unit, cross-functional global projects and support both regional and global implementation.
Design of cost reduction programs while simultaneously guaranteeing quality and security of supply, as well as proportional contractual risks. Research and apply industry best practices to identify savings opportunities, and initiate transfers.
Define an assortment strategy to reduce complexity, achieve ESG and risk management targets with the help of Lead Category Manager, Category Manager and sourcing engineer in the field of responsibility.
What You Need to SucceedRequired Key Skills & Competencies
Master degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
Strong strategy and project management skills, proven negotiation skills in an international environment
Proven experience in R&D, supply chain management, consulting, field application engineering or related field
Ability to deal with complex initiatives and to lead through persuasion on all levels and cultures
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English with proven record of successfully presenting to all levels of a global organization
Open-minded and engaged personality
Independent working method and proactive communication skills
Solid financial acumen and strong analytical skills
Proficient user of MS Office and IT savvy in general
Increased international travel required during onboarding phase, afterwards (approx. 15%)
Ability to communicate ideas and push them through without having the authority to give directives
Global, matrix-driven working environment
Mentoring and consulting of local internal stakeholders
Working on strategic level and executing the strategy with the responsible Category Managers and Sourcing EngineersRequired Experience
Minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in R&D, supply chain management, consulting, field application engineering or related field in a global matrix driven organization with familiarity in end-to-end processes
Experience in strategy development and implementation, negotiation, contracting, or procurement and/or dealing with Marketing/Communications stakeholders and suppliers would be considered an advantage
