Lead/Specialist Electrical Engineer - Malaysia We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead/Specialist Electrical Engineer to join our client team for an FPSO Suriname project. The successful candidate will bring 11-15 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, with a specific focus on FPSO and offshore projects. This role involves leading the electrical engineering activities, ensuring project deliverables are met, and maintaining high standards of safety and compliance.
Job Responsibilities
Lead and oversee electrical engineering activities for the FPSO project. Ensure all electrical systems and components are designed, installed, tested, and maintained according to project specifications and industry standards. Develop and review electrical engineering documents including schematics, drawings, and reports. Coordinate with other engineering disciplines, project management, and clients to ensure seamless project execution. Conduct electrical load studies and power distribution designs. Ensure compliance with all applicable codes, standards, and regulations. Provide technical guidance and support to the project team and stakeholders. Manage and mentor junior electrical engineers and provide training as necessary. Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues and provide innovative solutions. Prepare and present project status reports to clients and management. Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. 11-15 years of experience in electrical engineering within the oil and gas industry, with a focus on FPSO and offshore projects. Proven track record of leading electrical engineering teams and managing complex projects. In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, components, and industry standards. Proficiency in electrical design software and tools. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment. Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification is preferred.
