Position Overview: As the Learning and Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in designing and delivering effective training programs that support the professional growth of our team. This includes managing all HRDC (Human Resource Development Corporation) functions to ensure compliance, claiming training grants, and reporting training metrics. The ideal candidate will bring a strategic approach to learning and development, aligning programs with our operational goals and enhancing overall employee engagement and productivity.
Key Responsibilities: Learning & Development Strategy; Develop and implement a strategic learning and development plan to foster a skilled, motivated, and engaged workforce in alignment with the hotel's objectives.Training Programs; Design and oversee a wide range of training programs, from new-hire orientation to leadership development, that enhance skills and support career advancement.HRDC Management; Handle all HRDC-related functions, including the submission of applications, claiming of training grants, tracking training hours, and maintaining compliance with HRDC regulations.Employee Engagement; Drive initiatives that promote a culture of continuous learning and development across departments, contributing to higher employee satisfaction and retention rates.Performance Metrics; Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and track the impact of learning initiatives on employee performance, using metrics to refine and improve future programs.Partnerships; Collaborate with department heads to identify training needs and work with external training providers as needed to deliver high-quality training experiences.Internship Program Management; Develop, manage, and grow the internship program, including recruiting, onboarding, and training interns to support hotel operations and build a strong entry-level talent pipeline. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field.Minimum 3-5 years of experience in learning and development or a similar HR function, preferably in the hospitality industry.Strong understanding of HRDC functions and experience in managing HRDC claims and reporting.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate employees at all levels.Strategic thinker with experience in developing and implementing training programs that align with organizational goals.Proficiency in learning management systems (LMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
