We are seeking a dynamic, dedicated, and passionate Learning Support Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting students' learning, fostering their development, and helping them achieve their full potential in a supportive and inclusive environment.
Job Responsibility:
Providing support to subject teachers where applicable in ensuring identified students are catered for within lessons, e.g., modifying resources to improve accessibility, providing prompt/reminder for the completion of work.
To establish a supportive, caring, and secure relationship with the identified student(s), promoting respect, self-esteem, and a positive, inclusive whole school ethos.
Providing in-class one-to-one support for identified learners.
Providing one-to-one or small group interventions for identified students under the direct supervision of the AHT-Inclusion.
To develop knowledge and understanding of the specific academic, physical, and emotional/behavioral/medical needs of the students and respond to them effectively.
Helping develop programmes of learning activities and to adapt appropriate materials.
To help, support, and motivate the identified student(s), clarifying instructions, encouraging independent learning and behavior, and enabling learning targets and outcomes to be achieved.
Assisting with marking and correcting work.
Keeping detailed records of all support, interventions, and modifications made for identified students to enable effective review and analysis of their effectiveness.
To keep records of student progress and attainment to help inform review meetings.
Attending meetings and reviews.
Helping with school events, trips, and activities.
To uphold school discipline and regulations appropriately and to foster and promote equal opportunities in practice.
Participating in duties – lunch/break/before and after school.
To ensure regular and effective communication between all relevant parties, including the students, staff, parents, and external agencies.
Support the aims, values, mission, and ethos of the school and participate in a team approach to all aspects of school life.
Attend and contribute to staff meetings and INSET days as required, and identify areas of personal practice and experience to develop.
Take appropriate responsibility for safeguarding and children's welfare and be aware of confidential issues linked to home/child/teacher/school and keep confidences appropriately.
Job Requirements:
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Psychology/Education/a related field.
Well-versed in theEnglish Language .
At least 3 years of working experience at the International School level.
Seeking candidates proficient in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking parents/clients.
Excellent management and organizational skills.
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
High level of English proficiency.
Able to work independently.
IT literate.
