About the RoleA Level B academic is expected to make a significant contribution to all activities of the organisational unit or interdisciplinary area and play a significant role within their profession or discipline.
Academics at this level may be appointed in recognition of distinction in their disciplinary area.
The academic will be responsible for developing and executing strategic plans and directions in the development, teaching, and administration of undergraduate, postgraduate, and executive education programs in the area of Accounting, Environmental, Sustainability and Governance Reporting and Innovation within the School.
The academic will also be responsible for undertaking activities that maintain and develop scholarly research and the professional activities that are related to the discipline.
The role contributes primarily to teaching of accounting units at undergraduate and graduate levels and conducting competitive industry-focused research on accounting.
The areas of interest include but are not limited to management control systems, financial accounting, accounting information systems, ESG reporting, climate change accounting, auditing, standard setting, and accounting for new economy enterprises.
Reporting Line: The position reports to the Head of Discipline (Accounting).
