Lecturer (Faculty of Marine Engineering/ Maritime Studies)Responsible for the efficient and effective delivery of teaching programs and for developing further research in accordance with the ALAM's strategies, policies, and procedures.
Apply and adapt effective and appropriate methodologies for educating, assessing, and mentoring students in accordance with best practices in the Higher/Maritime Education industry to develop high-quality maritime graduates with contemporary knowledge and practical expertise.
Develop, maintain, and update all course materials and documentation in a timely manner to ensure high-quality education is delivered to all ALAM students.
Conduct research and publish research papers in reputable journals and other indexed publications to maintain ALAM's visibility and position as a leader in the maritime education industry.
Supervise students on any projects or practical field trips to ensure learning outcomes are achieved.
Collaborate with relevant stakeholders in ensuring that all students' learning objectives are met to safeguard ALAM's brand as a prestigious maritime education institution.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:Minimum of 3 years of relevant teaching and working experience in the Higher Education/Maritime Education industry.
Minimum Master's degree in Maritime/Nautical related studies, Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Marine Technology, or related discipline.
PhD is an advantage but is subject to teaching experience as stipulated above.
Minimum Class 2 Maritime Certificate of Competency (CoC).

For Standards of Training, Certification, and Watchkeeping of Seafarers (STCW) programs/courses, Seagoing and/or Shoreside Engineering experience and prior involvement with Maritime Education are added advantages.
