Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly qualified and motivated individual to join our Faculty of Pharmacy as a Lecturer in Pharmaceutical Technology.
The ideal candidate will have expertise in Pharmaceutics, a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in the field, and at least 10 years of teaching experience.
This role includes teaching and research responsibilities, supervision of undergraduate & postgraduate students, and active involvement in curriculum development.
Key Responsibilities:
Teaching & Learning:
Deliver engaging lectures, seminars, and practical sessions in Pharmaceutical Technology to undergraduate and postgraduate students, incorporating innovative and evidence-based teaching methodologies.
Supervision of Undergraduate & Postgraduate Students:
Mentor and supervise postgraduate students in their research projects, fostering academic excellence and professional development.
Curriculum Development:
Contribute to the continuous development, review, and enhancement of the Pharmaceutical Technology curriculum.
Research:
Conduct high-quality research in Pharmaceutics or related fields, publishing findings in reputable peer-reviewed journals and contributing to the university's research portfolio.
Industry and Community Engagement:
Work with industry professionals and academic stakeholders to promote innovation, secure funding, and enhance collaboration opportunities in Pharmaceutical Technology.
Administrative Duties:
Participate in faculty meetings, committees, and institutional initiatives to contribute to the development and governance of the faculty and university.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Academic Background:
- Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Pharmaceutics or a related field.
Teaching Experience:
- A minimum of 10 years of teaching experience in higher education, with a focus on Pharmaceutical Technology or related subjects.
Research Expertise:
- Proven ability to conduct and publish research in Pharmaceutics or related fields, with a strong track record of impactful publications.
Supervisory Skills:
- Significant experience supervising postgraduate research students, ensuring the successful completion of their academic projects.
Curriculum Development:
- Demonstrated ability to develop, update, and align academic programs with industry and regulatory standards.
Additional Skills:
- Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork abilities.
- Capacity to engage in industry collaboration and secure partnerships that enhance educational quality.
