To establish a leading business school in Asia , MILA University is inviting applications for Lecturer/Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor/Professor positions in the following fields of business management:
Accounting (Focusing on Financial Reporting) Accounting (Focusing on Auditing & Taxation Business Analytics Entrepreneurship and Innovation Human Resource Management Logistic and Supply Chain Management Marketing Strategic Management Media and Mass Communication We hope to find enthusiastic and motivated individuals with a strong record of professional practice, academic research, and/or enterprise activities in business management who can contribute to the growth of th e Business School of MILA University. Responsibilities: Design and deliver high quality teaching and learning activities in line with the strategy of the University. Provide timely student support and effective feedback to students to enhance the student experience and achievement. Provide pastoral guidance to students when appropriate. Contribute to the planning, design and development of subjects and programs in line with the strategy of the University. Participate in external and professional engagements that develop the enterprise activities of the University. Plan, organize and carry out research activities that support the strategy of the University. Secure appropriate funding to carry out a personal research plan. Work proactively with colleagues to achieve strategic outcomes of the University. Provide expert guidance and advice to colleagues within the university to resolve complex problems (for those appointed at least at Senior Lecturer level). Any other responsibilities entrusted by the University. A. Essential Selection Criteria An applicant must:
Have a doctoral qualification or equivalent in the related field. Have relevant teaching experience. Have relevant research experience. Have successfully supervised at least one (1) doctoral student to the completion of doctoral qualification or equivalent. Professor positions are available for applicants who have sustained and enhanced a significant national and international reputation for academic excellence in their field. Applicants must exhibit excellent records of teaching, research and/or enterprise activities.
Associate Professor positions are available for applicants who are established leaders in their field. Applicants must exhibit strong records of teaching, research and/or enterprise activities.
Senior Lecturer positions are available for applicants who have the potential to become leaders in the relevant discipline. Applicants must be able to plan and shape the direction of an area of research/teaching/enterprise activities.
Lecturer positions are available for applicants who are able to plan, organize and carry out their own teaching, research and/or enterprise activities.
B. Desirable Selection Criteria: An applicant must secure:
research grants. managed enterprise activities. For the field of accounting , an applicant should be a member of one of the professional accountancy bodies recognized by the Malaysian Institute of Accountants, such as ICAEW, ACCA, CIMA, CPA Australia or other.
For the field of Business Analytics , an applicant must be a SAS user who is an active member in SAS community. An applicant must preferably be a fluent user of R.
For the field of Media and Mass Communication, an applicant must demonstrate leadership abilities to manage a department.
