Job DescriptionGet to Know the Team
The Country Legal team provides contractual, regulatory, compliance, governance advice, including the preparation of templates, reviews of agreements from multiple Grab and Supermarket businesses and attending to the various product launches.

You will focus on the Grab and Supermarket businesses.
You will report toGeneral Counsel, Malaysia and work onsite.
The Critical Tasks You Will Perform
Create new templates and review/amend a variety of agreements, including but not limited to commercial tenancy agreements; undertake legal research and assist with the preparation of draft advice for the business.
Conduct legal analysis on new product initiatives and any related requests from stakeholders.
Liaise with regional Grab Legal counsels in the region, internal stakeholders, and external vendors.
Keep updated on important legal and compliance-related information, including changes in laws in the region related to the company's business.
Assist with administrative legal tasks.
QualificationsWhat Essential Skills You Will Need
6 years PQE in a reputable law firm, with a preference of 2-3 years as in-house counsel in an MNC.
Strong drafting, negotiation, and research skills; able to advise on any commercial contracts related to the company's business (e.g., real estate, competition, e-hailing laws, contracts, companies, competition, IP laws), including providing advice on commercial real estate industry practices and consumer protection laws.
In-depth experience in commercial real estate negotiation and drafting skills, civil litigation, and competition law.
Ability to understand the business, commercial requirements, company's strategies and directions, its people, and its organizational structures.
Capability to perform regular legal research and provide legal updates on current legal issues.
Creative thinking to contribute to legal initiatives (e.g., risk management, training, standard contracts review, etc.) as assigned by your direct report.
Bachelor's degree in Law from a recognized university with a 2:1.
