Job DescriptionSelects, administers, scores, interprets, and completes psychological assessments and reports.
Assesses patients and makes recommendations on therapeutic plans.
Conducts various forms of individual and group psychotherapy, including behavior modification and specialized treatment modalities such as ACT, DBT, and other interventions for a range of types of patients.
Consults with medical personnel regarding patient status.
Writes case notes and reports regarding patient progress, competency, and dangerousness.
Participates in the treatment team, staff, and professional meetings.
Participates in training programs as a supervisor for trainees and unlicensed staff.
Works collaboratively with other disciplines.
Observes and intervenes in instances of disruptive and assaultive patient behavior.
Initiates, designs, collaborates, and reports on psychological research or program evaluation.
Writes articles for publication.
Compiles and analyzes statistics.
Job RequirementsA degree in Psychology or related field; previous experience in similar roles; excellent fluency in English, BM and Mandarin; aptitude with computer applications; willingness to learn new things; the ability to maintain and protect client confidentiality and privacy is essential; a passionate, caring, and committed person with good character and good communication skills; mature, self-driven, and able to find solutions to small problems while keeping a balance of reaching for help; ability to take many tasks in a high volume, fast-paced mental health care center.
Preferred:
Masters or PhD in clinical psychology
Experience in similar roles for 3 to 8 years
Minimum 3 years clinical experience (in total) is a MUST
Minimum 1 year clinical experience with children is required
Fluent in English and must be fluent in BM and Mandarin (MINIMUM)
Possesses relevant license with MSCP, Allied Health, APA and/or APAC (LKM for counsellors)
Registered with MSCP, Allied Health, APA and/or APAC
Passionate to work with children
Experience in working on Child development programs is a plus
Able to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to communicate professionally
Creative, resourceful, self-motivated & results oriented
Good interviewing and psychological/developmental evaluation skills
State license or eligibility
