Lifeguard

**Job Summary**Responsible for the cleanliness and maintenance of the swimming pool, its surrounding area as well as all pool equipment and outdoor swimming pool furniture. Responsible for administer proper life-saving procedures in cases of emergencies in and around the swimming pool.**Specific of the Job**1. Makes sure that all swimming pool rules and regulations are observed.2. Maintains overall cleanliness of the swimming pool and its surrounding area.3. Ensures that swimmers are attired properly and do not get into difficulties in the water.4. Wears the proper uniform while on duty.5. Sets up deck chairs and puts away deck chair when not in use.6. Maintains cleanliness of outdoor showers and footpaths.7. Sweeps away fallen leaves in the swimming pool, tiles and footpath.8. Ensures that the children's slide is properly maintained.9. Makes regular checks that all life-saving apparatus are available and in working order.10. Ensures that deck chairs are clean by wiping them from dew every morning.11. Reports all stains and spill on furniture to housekeeping department.12. Reports on broken light bulbs, chairs and tiles to the Recreation Manager for follow-up.13. Keeps a daily logbook on happenings in the swimming pool.14. Provides answers to questions pertaining to the swimming pool and surrounding facilities e.g. depth of pool, opening closing times, F&B facilities15. Conducts life-saving and CPR techniques for staff when necessary.16.
