Manage the entire supply chain process, from order receipt to final delivery, ensuring timely and cost-effective distribution.
Develop and implement logistics strategies aligned with business objectives to enhance customer satisfaction and reduce operational costs.
Oversee and maintain strong relationships with 3PL providers to ensure high service levels, timely delivery, and accurate order fulfillment.
Monitor the performance of 3PL partners through KPIs such as delivery accuracy, lead times, and cost-effectiveness.
Negotiate contracts and service agreements with logistics providers, ensuring compliance with service-level agreements (SLAs) and company standards.
Lead warehouse operations, including inventory control, storage management, and order picking/packing processes.
Ensure accurate inventory records and conduct regular stock audits to maintain proper stock levels and minimize shrinkage.
Implement efficient warehouse layout designs and storage systems to optimize space utilization and operational flow.
Analyze and optimize transportation routes to reduce delivery times and transportation costs, while improving delivery accuracy.
Implement best practices for routing, freight consolidation, and transportation management to achieve optimal cost savings and efficiency.
Collaborate with Sales teams to ensure seamless logistics operations that align with the company's overall business goals.
Ensure all logistics operations, including warehousing, transportation, and customs, comply with local and international regulations, safety standards, and environmental laws.
Manage documentation and reporting processes related to shipping, import/export, and inventory control.
Develop and manage logistics budgets, track expenses, and seek opportunities to reduce costs without compromising service quality.
Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and regulatory changes to continuously improve logistics strategies.
In order to succeed in the role, you should ideally have:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or warehousing, preferably in the retail, e-commerce or FMCG sector.
Proven experience in managing third-party logistics (3PL) providers and overseeing warehouse operations.
Strong understanding of logistics management systems (LMS), warehouse management systems (WMS), and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel for inventory analysis, cost tracking, and reporting.
Continuous improvement experiences (LEAN, SIGMA, etc.) shall be an added advantage.
Knowledge of transportation management, routing, and distribution strategies.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret logistics data, identify inefficiencies, and recommend process improvements.
Familiarity with local and international logistics regulations, customs procedures, and safety standards.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Ability to adapt to changing market conditions, such as demand fluctuations or supply chain disruptions.#J-18808-Ljbffr
