This includes inventory management, processes, vendors/suppliers (including 3PL, transporters, forwarders etc.) performance and cost vs budget. He/she will be the main relationship manager for logistics & warehouse-related services/vendors/suppliers and will need to work together with procurement for any RFQs.To support the Supply Chain Compliance team, Group Custom and Fonterra Trade Compliance team to ensure the right processes and recordings are kept by both internal and external parties. This is including custom requirements, Quota, Halal and so forth. He/She will be the key person for warehouse/logistics related FSQ and H&S.The role will support the operations 3-year plan to **_'Develop & continuously improve safe_**, **_customer-focused, cost-effective Operations'_** by working safely, continuously improving our performance, focusing on costs & inventory levels, implementing effective processes & protocols between departments, ensuring there is a plan to support capacity growth & ensuring our products are safe for our consumers.**Some of the key areas you would own include**:**Inventory Management**- Monitor the status of all stock, ensuring First Expiry First Out (FEFO) is maintained and any aging or surplus stocks are dealt with.- Ensure stock accuracy is per the agreed KPIs and that stock reconciliation and any adjustments are minimised.- To assess and report any potential risk of write off.- Lead in quarterly and ad hoc stock take for the plant.**Logistics & Warehouse**- Manage the department manpower and resource planning.- Initiate cost saving projects such as optimisation of routing, transportation, schedule, network and other relevant initiatives- Manage the 3PL provider to ensure there is an efficient product movement and mínimal damages at the most optimum practical cost.- Work with other departments such as Supply Planning, Commercial, FSQ, Production and so on to ensure meeting customer and DIFOT requirements.- Responsible for related Distribution & Storage / Logistics & Warehouse budget and cost monitoring and control.**IBP role**- Contribute to the monthly IBP Supply process as required and attend all relevant meetings**General Operations Responsibilities**- Operation Excellence / IWS: Continuously review current processes and search out improvement methods to improve processes and manage process failure such as inventory management, processes, vendors/suppliers (include 3PL, transporters, forwarders and so forth) performance.- Teamwork: Assist and support other team members in meeting department and site goals. Participate and share in performing all tasks necessary to run the facility. Contribute and participate in team decision making.
