Lorry Driver

Duties and responsibilities include:
Ensuring vehicles are mechanically sound and legally roadworthyPerforming basic repairs and maintenance in the event of accident or breakdown while in transitSafely securing heavy loads and large goods for transportOrganizing the most efficient route from pickup point to drop off pointKeeping informed of road closures, accidents and traffic diversionsOrganizing multiple drop-offs and deliveries in each working daySupervising and assisting with the loading and unloading of deliveries into the lorryUpdating vehicle log books, recording deliveries and tracking mileage Qualifications: 
• Ability to drive long distances in cramped conditions while maintaining concentration
• Ability to drive through the night or spend long periods of time away from home
• Mechanical skills, such as changing the engine oil
• Ability to communicate with both suppliers and customers and provide up-to-date information, such as delivery times
• A driving license, ideally with zero points 
• Must be over 18 years of age with the ability to lift 50 kilograms
