As a Mechanical & Electrical Shift Engineer in a data center, you'll be at the heart of maintaining the infrastructure's reliability and efficiency. Your role involves a range of responsibilities, from technical support to monitoring and maintenance of crucial systems. Key Responsibilities: Equipment Monitoring: Continuously monitor critical data center infrastructure, including HVAC, UPS, generators, and fire detection systems to ensure optimal performance and early detection of potential issues. Troubleshooting: Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, and emergencies, utilizing your strong troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve issues efficiently, minimizing downtime and disruptions to operations. Preventive Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on mechanical and electrical systems, following established schedules and procedures to prevent equipment failures and maintain peak performance. Documentation: Maintain detailed and accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment status, incident reports, and any other relevant documentation to facilitate effective communication and decision-making. Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to safety protocols and best practices to create and maintain a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues, reducing the risk of accidents or injuries. Shift Handover: Communicate effectively with the oncoming shift team during shift transitions, providing comprehensive updates on ongoing tasks, equipment status, and any potential issues or concerns to ensure continuity of operations. Team Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, facilities managers, and security personnel, sharing knowledge and expertise to collectively address challenges and optimize data center performance.Qualifications: Education: Diploma or equivalent qualification. Technical or vocational training in relevant fields is advantageous. Experience: Previous experience in a similar Mechanical & Electrical role or a related field is preferred, demonstrating your familiarity with data center infrastructure and critical systems. Skills: Strong troubleshooting skills, the ability to work effectively under pressure, and a solid understanding of safety protocols and procedures are essential. Fluency in Mandarin and English is a plus. Communication: Good communication and teamwork skills are crucial for effective collaboration with colleagues and stakeholders. Availability: Willingness to work on a rotating shift schedule, including nights and weekends, is necessary to ensure 24/7 coverage and support for data center operations.Location - Malaysia Sedenak JohorSalary Range - RM4,700 - RM7,000
