Coordinate their activities to ensure seamless integration between mechanical and electrical systems.
Project Management : Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of projects involving mechanical and electrical installations or maintenance.
Quality Control : Ensure that all mechanical and electrical work meets quality standards and complies with relevant regulations and codes.
Troubleshooting : Identify and resolve issues related to both mechanical and electrical systems.
Diagnose problems and implement solutions to ensure optimal performance.
Safety Compliance : Enforce safety protocols and regulations to maintain a secure working environment for the team and comply with industry standards.
Budget Management : Monitor and manage budgets related to mechanical and electrical projects.
Ensure cost-effective practices and efficient resource allocation.
Documentation : Maintain accurate records, including project plans, work orders, and maintenance logs.
Prepare reports on project progress, budget utilization, and other relevant metrics.
Collaboration : Work closely with other departments, contractors, and subcon to ensure effective communication and coordination.
The Profile Qualifications : Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field is typically required.
Relevant certifications may also be beneficial.
Several years of experience in both mechanical and electrical roles, with a progression into supervisory or managerial positions.
In-depth knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical wiring, and control systems.
Ability to lead and motivate teams, make informed decisions, and solve problems efficiently.
Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey information clearly and effectively.
Experience in managing projects from initiation to completion, including planning, scheduling, and budgeting.
Familiarity with local and national regulations and codes related to both mechanical and electrical systems.
