Overview:Ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of mechanical systems within the plant. By effectively managing maintenance activities, leading a skilled team of technicians, and implementing best practices, the supervisor contributes to the overall success and safety of maintenance operation.• Maintain zero non-conformance for all audit requirements e.g. preventive maintenance implementation, completing and ensuring signing off maintenance and service checklist.• Carry out a planned manhour with a reasonable schedule break.• Organize the implementation of maintenance execution with zero rework.• Ensure the safe and efficient operation of mechanical team with 0 LTI.• Ensuring reasonable mean time to repair (MTTR), meeting an agreed set target.• Work orders are closed timely. Open/backlog work order (WO) shall always be maintained below than a reasonable set target.• Prepare a daily summary of activities and submit weekly reports.Job Responsibilities:• Responsible for overseeing and managing the safety of onsite maintenance operations, ensuring safe work execution and handover by effectively implementing of site safety procedures.• Take responsibility for executing various types of maintenance activities for technical assets, including corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance, as well as post-inspection findings maintenance work, inspection, and testing.• Adhere to required maintenance and quality control procedures to ensure good maintenance practices.• Organize jobs assigned through work orders based on WO priority, challenge the priority if needed, and maintain an approved schedule for daily work of subordinates.• Coordinate with the maintenance planner to prepare adequate resources to complete registered maintenance WOs. Seek approval from the Maintenance Manager for any extended work hours if necessary.• Coordinate with production teams to minimize downtime during maintenance activities.• Act as the frontliner for breakdown or unplanned maintenance including ad-hoc shutdown, ensuring swift action and efficient coordination to allocate necessary resources (tools, spares, and manpower).• Take charge of troubleshooting mechanical failures, participating in root causes analysis, implementing necessary repairs, and suggesting modifications for future improvements.• Verify work orders with production management in the respective sections prior to closure.• Authorize requests for materials and spare parts from the Technical Warehouse, and if necessary, initiate urgent purchases through Purchase Requisition forms. These requests should be verified by the Maintenance Manager and approved by the Head of Department.• Assume full responsibility for managing the team, ensuring a positive team dynamic and fostering cooperation among team members.• Fulfill any additional tasks assigned by leaders.Job Requirements: • Relevant technical certification by recognized institute in Malaysia.• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent is an added advantage.• More than 15 years of experience in mechanical maintenance work in Petrochemical / Chemical sites with 8 years of experience in a supervisory role.• Experience in managing high pressure hydrogen service maintenance for both static and rotating equipment is a must.• Have good coordination, excellent communication, and command skills.• Strong understanding of maintenance procedures, equipment operation and troubleshooting techniques is essential.• Leadership quality for overseeing a team of technicians.• High adaptability to respond to unexpected breakdowns or ad-hoc shutdown.• Proficiency with computer software particularly in CMMS and MS Office.
