We are seeking an experienced Manager / Assistant Manager - R&D, to join our dynamic team at G.B.
INDUSTRIES SDN BHD.
You will play a critical role in the overall Research & Development activities.
This position involves supporting the R&D department, ensuring seamless project execution, and guiding, motivating, and training subordinates to enhance performance.
From developing new products to evaluating new materials and troubleshooting production defects, you will be instrumental in driving innovation and maintaining product excellence.
The ideal candidate should have a stable employment history specifically within the Latex manufacturing industry, possess a background in Polymer Science or R&D on latex industry or related field.
Job ResponsibilitiesEnsure the compliances of ASTM/EN, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and all related standard or audit requirements accordingly.
To plan and conduct R&D on existing and new product and carry out evaluation for all new products and new chemicals.
To conduct lab and pilot plant experiments involving product and process development and design.
To conduct plant trials for commercial scale up.
To perform routine R&D activities in order to evaluate and improve the quality of existing products and related processes.
To interpret data and draw conclusions to lab experiments, pilot plant experiments and plant trials.
To interface frequently with various internal departments (e.g., Marketing, Purchasing, Operations and QA) in providing technical support on quality matters and customer requirements.
Daily reporting to Superior on all matters and activities of the R&D team and leading team to achieve department objectives and other assignments.
Job RequirementsDegree in Polymer Science, Chemistry or related courses or equivalents from reputable universities.
A candidate from the latex industry with prior expertise doing research and development studies, analyzing data, preparing research reports, and evaluating new chemicals or latex is preferred.
Good command of English & Malay (spoken and written).
Results oriented with strong follow up.
Pleasant personality and able to interact with all levels of people.
