IOI Esterchem manufactures and export esters globally to over 80 countries worldwide delivering products for use into pharmaceutical, personal care, cosmetic, food and performance chemicals. It is one of the fastest growing division and we are looking for candidates of calibre to grow with us and support our future business growth.
This is a senior position requiring the selected candidate to lead it's own team of skilled marketing personnel to support the Head of Marketing to meet the company's business objectives. Your work will be supported by strong technical support from research and development; quality support teams and state of art operations facilities.
Your responsibilities:
Your responsibilities include but not limited to:
i. Competently develop and manage agents and customers in assigned regions.
ii. To formulate effective sales channels and marketing activities to increase sales activities in local and international markets.
iii. Business development of new products and drive new product development projects and innovative marketing concept.
iv. Regular reporting and reviewing of the strategic and operational sales & marketing plans to drive sales and revenue.
v. To update the Management on market intelligence and analysis from time to time.
vi. Assist in annual budget setting and formulation of marketing plan.
vii. Be part of the raw materials procurement team.
viii. Be able to travel and meet customers and represent the company at trade fairs and event
Job Requirements
a. Tertiary education in related discipline i.e., Business; Chemistry; Biotechnology or Food Technology
b. A minimum of 5-7 years related regional working experience in specialities ingredients in pharmaceutical, personal care, food or technical products.
c. Proven track record in sales and marketing. Knowledge of marketing strategy and international sales channels will be added advantages.
d. Excellent interpersonal, leadership, planning, organisational, presentation and negotiation skills.
e. Ability to prepare reports and use the appropriate mode of communication. Must be proficient at analysing data, building reporting and making strategic recommendations based on data and trends.
f. Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia and any additional language skills are an advantage.
g. Possess a strong analytical mind, competent to formulate marketing strategies, problem solving and good business acumen.
