Job OverviewThis is a fantastic opportunity to work in the School of Science as Manager, External Engagement, a new and pivotal role in leading the external engagement initiatives in the School of Science to achieve its priorities in education and research. This role is key in driving the implementation of future student recruitment and alumni relations strategies, programs, and initiatives aligned with the School and University's strategic objectives.
ResponsibilitiesLead the external engagement initiatives in the School of Science to achieve its priorities in education and research.
Drive the implementation of student recruitment and alumni relations strategies.
Contribute to the delivery of the School of Science's industry and government partner engagement and research business development.
Manage strategic and operational activities including identifying and cultivating industry and government research opportunities.
Provide timely advice and support to academic researchers for costing and pricing of contracts, consultancies, tenders, and industry-related grants.
Develop and implement contractual agreements in line with University processes.
Coordinate engagement initiatives across the School of Science and University.
QualificationsEssential to this role is substantial experience in communications and engagement strategy and operations, along with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships across diverse levels and cultures. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, including the capability to articulate ideas clearly both in writing and verbally, are required for success in this role.
