The Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Manager is responsible for overseeing the financial planning, forecasting, reporting, analysis, costing, and internal control processes. This role requires collaboration with multiple departments to generate actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making, improve financial performance, and ensure alignment with the company's goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Planning:
Lead the development and management of the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting process, ensuring alignment with the organization's strategic objectives.
Prepare long-term financial forecasts and scenario analysis to support strategic planning initiatives.
Collaborate with department heads to gather and synthesize inputs for budget preparation and updates.
Financial Analysis:
Perform detailed variance analysis comparing actual performance with budgets/forecasts, providing insights into financial results.
Conduct financial modeling and analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for cost optimization and revenue enhancement.
Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on thorough financial analysis.
Reporting:
Prepare and deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to management and stakeholders, emphasizing key insights and recommendations.
Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess financial health and operational efficiency.
Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting to stakeholders.
Collaboration:
Work with cross-functional teams to understand business drivers and integrate insights into financial models.
Offer financial support and guidance to business units, facilitating strategic decision-making.
Foster a culture of financial accountability throughout the organization.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify and implement process improvements and best practices in financial modeling and analysis techniques.
Stay informed on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices.
Develop and implement reporting standards in line with group policies.
Internal Controls:
Design and enforce robust internal controls to protect company assets and ensure financial accuracy.
Ensure adherence to management reporting guidelines and standards in alignment with group policies.
Ad Hoc Projects and Initiatives:
Provide financial analysis and follow-up support for various ad hoc projects and M&A activities to inform strategic initiatives.
Profile
A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
A minimum of 8 to 10 years of relevant experience in FMCG, MNCs, or similar industries.
Preferred experience in business partnering and manufacturing environments.
Experience as a plant controller, along with familiarity with Oracle or SAP systems, is highly desirable.
Proven experience working with multicultural teams across the APAC region.
