About the role
The FP&A Manager APAC Cocoa plays a crucial role in the financial planning, analysis, and strategic decision-making processes for the company's cocoa business across the APAC region. He/ she works closely with the Finance Business Partner Cocoa APAC to deliver the financial performance of the Cocoa APAC division.
The APAC cocoa business is a complex business focused on trading, sourcing and processing of beans. This position will partner with various stakeholders, including regional business units, and regional/global finance teams, to ensure accurate financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis. The FP&A Manager will also contribute to daily business decision-making and strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with the company's overall objectives.
Key responsibilities include
Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes for the APAC cocoa business, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives.
Provide insightful analysis of business performance from a commercial perspective, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities to support strategic commercial decision-making.
Monitor and report on key financial metrics, including revenue, profitability, working capital, and cash flow.
Monitor the execution of strategic business initiatives (e.g. Asia Turnaround, NL)
Support ad-hoc, time-sensitive analysis requirements
Drive standardization and digitalization of finance processes across APAC in line with Global Cocoa's direction
Share best practices across APAC
Collaborate with the global cocoa finance team to ensure consistency in financial reporting and alignment with global strategies
Liaise with the broader FP&A team to prepare monthly Cocoa APAC business review slides, and support Finance BP Cocoa APAC and VP Cocoa APAC in leadership meetings
Manage and develop a team of finance professionals, providing coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback.
Support Finance Business Partner Cocoa APAC in managing risk positions of Cocoa APAC business, with a solid end-to-end understanding of risk exposures arising from various flows of a complex Cocoa APAC business
Manage the fair valuation and perform insightful analysis to accurately determine its financial impact
About you
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in financial planning and analysis.
Strong experience in the food & beverage industry, specifically in cocoa or similar commodities, is highly desirable.
English business proficiency (written and spoken),
Technical proficiency:Excel (Power Query/ Power Pivot/Power View);
Microsoft Power BI
Microsoft PowerPoint
ERP system (SAP as a plus);Exceptional analytical and financial modeling skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information clearly and concisely.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
