Position Summary:The Group Tax Manager is responsible for developing and implementing effective tax planning solutions, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and managing tax-related projects. This role involves overseeing tax computations, managing corporate tax and GST compliance, and providing strategic tax advice to support the organization's objectives.
Job Responsibilities:Provide effective tax planning solutions and implement tax initiatives.Manage and review tax computations along with corporate tax and GST compliance processes; attend to tax inquiries.Undertake tax risk management exercise and manage tax-related projects.Advise on corporate structures for overseas investments from a tax perspective.Ensure compliance with transfer pricing rules for related party transactions.Review, advice, and support regional overseas companies on tax-related matters.Correspond with tax authorities and external tax agents regarding tax issues.Review deferred tax computations. Requirements:Professional qualifications (MIT, MIA, MICPA, ACCA, or equivalent) and/or a Degree/Master in Accounting/Finance.8 to 10 years of experience in a tax/accounting firm or the corporate tax department of major corporations.Strong understanding of tax rules, regulations, and practices.Experience or knowledge of cross-border transactions, the ASEAN tax regime, and indirect tax is a strong advantage.Team player with excellent communication skills (both written and spoken) and the ability to work independently while liaising across business units or countries within the Group.Strong work ethic, integrity, good leadership skills, and self-motivation.Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
