ResponsibilitiesIdentify tax planning opportunities, manage tax risk issues and propose feasible resolutions.
Ensure optimization of the Group entities' tax position that supports the business strategy and direction.
Review and provide comments/advice on tax compliance matters.
Monitor overall tax compliance by local operating units within the stipulated deadlines.
Manage timeliness of deliverables.
Manage tax database of local operating units.
Report significant tax issues/risks to Management on a timely basis.
Provide support and guidance on compliance projects, tax audits and indirect tax issues.
Evaluate and plan system and process review for enhancement towards greater tax efficiency.
Responsible for technical review and provide guidance to team members and finance personnel on tax compliance matters.
Identify and implement key training requirements to empower Finance function to be tax independent and effective shadow tax departments.
Maintain close rapport with the Sime Darby Group's key personnel in various functional departments, regulatory authorities, external advisors, industry bodies and associations.
Assist in other tasks assigned by superior.
RequirementsDegree/Professional qualification in Finance/Accountancy or other related courses.
At least 8 years of relevant experience.
