Compliance RegulatoryUnderstand the requirements of new & existing regulatory Guidelines/Regulations/Policy Documents/Acts to ensure overall regulatory compliance.Keep abreast with the latest regulatory development within or outside the organization as well as evolving best practices in compliance especially the ones impacting Islamic banks.Ensure timely dissemination of new/enhanced regulations to all relevant departments within the bank via Horizon Scanning & collate responses for submission to Group Compliance.2. Compliance AdvisoryAdvise Head Compliance-i on possible impacts of new/enhanced regulations to the bank.Provide advisory and support to the HLISB business and support units on compliance matters.Collaborate with other business units/support units to monitor enforcement of standards and regulations3. Compliance AssuranceEvaluate and perform Compliance Risk Assessment as per determined frequency.Prepare/update Compliance Assurance Plan and perform assurance function/task using assurance tools i.e Compliance Self-Assessment, Compliance Independent Review and any other assurance tools.Evaluate the efficiency of existing controls and improve them continuously.4. Compliance Academy & ReportingResponsible to develop and implement compliance training & programs.Keep track on compliance matters and prepare a detailed report of findings, observations and irregularities for submission to relevant committeesPrepare reports for Management & Board Committees like HLISB Management Committee, HLISB Risk Compliance Governance Committee & BARMC on updates regarding compliance matters.Managerial Lead, guide & support team/group members in the team to achieve relevant KRAs.Provide support to team/group members where necessary within department & across units.Support overall relevant assigned tasks.Organizational Assist the Head Compliance-i to ensure overall HLISB's compliance risks are being effectively managed by the 1st line of defense (i.e. the various business and support departments in HLISB).Provide support to Compliance-i counterparts within HLISB & HLBB.Jobholder RequirementsEducation/QualificationBachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree in Law, Banking, Risk Management, Economics or equivalent.Having Professional Qualification in Regulatory Compliance and/or AML/CFT is an added advantage.Experience5 years of working experience in the related field of Regulatory Compliance, Financial Crime Compliance, Compliance Assurance and/or Compliance Academy.Certification/Licensing RequirementsN/A. Having Certification in Regulatory Compliance and/or AML/CFT, and/or any other equivalent certification is an added advantage.Special Skills Good knowledge in banking related regulations and laws in Malaysia.Positive attitude towards work, high accountability & respect towards others.Good team player, good personality and inter-personal skills.
