RBC Shared Services Malaysia is a processing centre of operational excellence supporting multiple RBC businesses across various time zones.
Malaysia is one of operational processing centres within RBC supporting a variety of businesses and Functions including Wealth Management, Capital Markets, I&TS, GRM, and Finance.
The entity utilizes a Global Operating Model to maximise efficiencies across times zones and supports various shifts to ensure ongoing support across time zones.
The objectives for Malaysia are to enhance the scalability of RBC's global operations, improve service quality via our 'centres of excellence' and to implement/leverage standard processes.
This incumbent is responsible for being: Accountable for overseeing and leading the day to day HR Operations and administrative support for RBC Shared Services Malaysia Human Resources, which includes the Payroll Administration, HR Services Delivery.
Plays a strategic role to develop and manage an operating model to optimize operational fulfillment and service delivery in Malaysia by leveraging outsourced providers and HR technology enablers where appropriates.
Partners with Human Resource Business Partners and other CoEs in the planning, development and enablement of an agile, adaptable and highly competent workforce including supporting HR initiatives and annual processes.

Bold, High Impact HR - Operational HR Management and Service Delivery – Payroll Administration: Oversees and leads the payroll functions for Malaysia.
Ensures payroll is processed timely, accurately and in compliance with company requirements and local regulations.
Ensures all the internal and external audit requirements are met.
Handles all payroll escalations, enquiries and issues.
Deliveries of all the payroll related reports.
HR Services Delivery: Oversees and leads the HR services function in Malaysia.
Ensures delivery of operational HR Services, benefits administration, employee enquiries, work permit administrations, personal file management, relevant HR reports, Vendor management, HR System maintenances and enhancements, and other HR administration activities as assigned.
Handles all Workday escalated data enquires and issues.
Reviews Payroll and HR Services processes and implements continuous improvements to reduce and mitigate risks (financial, operational, people, efficiency).
Ensures all processes are in compliance with RBC internal control requirements and regulatory requirements.
Fosters a service culture and promote continuous quality improvement.
Develops, monitors and reports service standards and performance metrics.
Exceptional Employee Experience: Enables the business through the planning and execution of the HR database, systems and analytics strategy that supports the short- and long-term strategic objectives of RBC Shared Services Malaysia.
Includes providing the tools and information needed by senior leaders and HR Business Partners.
Helps set the strategic vision of the design, integration and delivery of all core HR systems and related processes while managing the tactical execution of these systems and processes in Malaysia.
Consistently works to understand the business and structure of RBC Shared Services Malaysia so that data requests and systems remain relevant and in alignment with the organization.
Using available resources, conducts Human Resource data modeling, data analysis and interpretation of trends to support Human Resource management planning.
Manages Malaysia HR's reporting needs and evaluates functionalities of HR Payroll and HRIS systems and recommends solutions that meet business needs and with HR and financial requirements.
Drives an integrated approach to managerial excellence including triaging HR questions, processes and basic policy interpretation.
Interprets and advises on policies and procedures in a manner consistent with enterprise protocols, local laws and regulation.
Project Delivery & Initiatives: Oversees and responsible for delivery of projects/ initiatives as assigned Responsible for management of all internal and external audits related to HR Operations.
Support HR effectiveness by partnering within the HR team to continually improve HR processes to maximize efficiency, cost savings, manage change and to support new HR initiatives.
Building Talent, Teams and Shaping the Future: Partners with the HRBP's in the planning, preparing, communication and reporting of annual global HR activities such as talent management initiatives, EOS, Compensation, and Performance.
Through day to day services also ensures HR continues to embed and promote the total rewards philosophy and approach and drives integrated approach to Managerial Excellence.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have Undergraduate degree in Human Resources, business, or related discipline plus HR certification preferred.
Typically 5 years of related experience in Human resources experience and knowledge; Payroll and HR Services experience; Workday and HR System design and integration; programing experience and use of Excel VB and Macros; prior financial services.
Strong analytical, presentation and project management skills.
Innovative problem-solving skills and demonstrated ability to make appropriate decisions.
As a guideline to ensure a reasonable time is spent in a role, you are expected to have at least 12 months of service in your current role for any lateral move.
Nice-to-have High degree of professionalism, tact, and decorum as well as organization and logic.
