**Job Summary**:Directs, coordinates and supervises all mechanical/electrical erection, maintenance and workshop activities in the plant and off-sites. Participating in the preparation of maintenance program, directing the implementation of the program, investigating modification and new project proposals, examining equipment performance, providing recommendations to enhance maintainability and minimize maintenance costs. Ensure that all maintenance services carried out are safely and efficiently.**Duties and Responsibilities**:- Budget Estimation - Prepares preliminary budget estimates for a capital and operating requirement includes provision of annual manpower and plant utilization forecasts.- Ensuring that strict control is exercised over expenditure, authorizes low cost fabrication or refurbishment of plant requirements or spare parts when justified to reduce operating costs and provides written justifications in advance of any variances with approval budgets.- To achieve optimum maintenance utmost availability/ reliability at the least cost.- Investigates suggestions for modifications e.g. TQM to existing equipment or the installation of new equipment in the plant.- Review Bid's submitted by the contractors, detailed estimates provided by engineers, reviews all invoices and endorses for further payments process.- Determines requirements, supervises and participates in the preparation of preliminary specifications or drawings and discusses with the Head, Operations to keep enhancement of the plant performance.- Directs and supervises the activities of assigned personnel in the mechanical/ electrical section.- Plans annual capital/ operating budget, monitor/ rationalize the expenditure including 5 years planning.- Organizes short/ medium/ long term business in line with policies, regulations and procedures.- Daily communicate with superior and subordinates of maintenance, technical services, operations and safety to discuss, arrange and coordinate work requirements.- Any other duties as assigned by the Superior and/or the Management.**Requirements**:- Minimum Bachelor Degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Power and/ or its related field.- Possess minimum 5 years of experience which 2 years in managerial level in power generation industry.- Previous experience in regional exposure such as Indonesia, Vietnam, etc. are added advantage.- Robust knowledge of installation, maintenance and repairs wide range of heavy rotating and static equipment is preferred.- Site civil construction supervision experience would be an added advantage.- Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia languages. (Mandarin is an advantage).- Ability to communicate & must be well written in English and Bahasa Malaysia.- Possess valid international passport and willing travel to overseas/ East Malaysia assignments frequently.- Must prepared to travel for overseas assignment in short notice and stationed short term.Application Question(s):- How many years of experience do you have in the power generation industry?Willingness to travel:- 50% (required)
