POSITION PURPOSE
This position reports to the Senior Manager, Student Administration and is required to work closely with staff of other units and schools across Monash University Malaysia as well as the Australian campuses, and external stakeholders.
The Scholarship Manager leads the Scholarship and Study Loans office which is responsible for the administration, maintenance and reporting of coursework scholarships, bursaries, sponsorships and study loans. The Manager oversees and manages the operations, business processes, performance and service delivery of the unit. The incumbent also provides advice and support to team members ensuring the team provides accurate advice, exemplary customer service and operates effectively and efficiently.
Reporting line:The position reports to the Senior Manager, Student Administration under general direction.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Plan, lead and manage the development, implementation, monitoring and reporting of operational matters for all scholarships and study loan related matters.
2. Provide leadership in the delivery of high-quality services, efficient administration, and development of initiatives that are in line with enhancing the overall student experience at Monash Malaysia.
3. Lead the development and implementation of efficient business processes, databases, and information/record management systems.
4. Provide effective student advisory services, emphasising compliance with government and university policies on scholarships and study loans, while ensuring business services align with partner agreements and regulations.
5. Actively participate in the development, review, and enhancement of policies and business processes related to scholarships, prizes, and awards.
6. Provide regular reports and insights to leadership on scholarship performance, including financial allocations and student impact metrics.
7. Develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
8. Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor to support the effective management and operation of the scholarship programs.
KEY SELECTION CRITERIA
Education / Qualifications:
1. A university degree and/or relevant experience in a similar capacity in a tertiary education setting.
Knowledge and Skills:
1. Well developed written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to interact with a diverse range of stakeholders and negotiate positive outcomes to complex issues.
2. Ability to work in a highly volume-fast paced environment. Highly competent, experienced and effective at managing time and prioritising workload to meet deadlines.
3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
4. Demonstrated ability to work as an effective member of a team as well as the ability to exercise high levels of independence, judgment and initiative.
Desirable:
1. Experience with and knowledge of scholarships and financial assistance programs.
