To ensure commercial regional requirements are represented through production planning and the efficient and timely placement of purchase orders, net of existing stock and outstanding purchase orders at the lowest possible cost.
To ensure timely and accurate submission of production plans which support the needs of the business and are within capacity to enable factory forward planning.
To provide the regional merchandising teams with support and specialist knowledge to ensure issues are resolved promptly and OTIF targets are achieved.
Placement of accurately sized purchase orders- POs placed to meet the demand and required delivery dates of the regions. Aligned to the planned order window and adhering to the agreed SLA. Delivery delay & issue resolution- Collaborate with the Demand Planning, Order Fulfilment and Maersk teams to resolve factory and logistics delays and issues as they arise. Ensuring regional requirements are met on time where ever possible and at the lowest cost. Capacity Planning & identifying risk to supply- Identify where constrained production plans do not meet the regional requirements. Highlight risks, develop and propose solutions and recommend the best course of action to resolve. PO Data Integrity and maintenance on end to end (from production to delivery)- Follow through all Purchase Orders raised End 2 End - ensuring PO data and delivery dates are maintained from PO placement up to receipt at DC/Customer. PO & STO Closure- Actively reviewing all Purchase Orders and Stock Transfers with delivery dates in the past. Following the SOP to investigate each case and close them down in ERP system, escalating issues where appropriate. Skills- Excellent numerical literacy, reasoning and decision-making skills. Good analytical Skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Good team working and networking skills.
Knowledge - Knowledge of product development process & production environment. Good cross-functional knowledge (Operations, Order Fulfilment, Customer & Regional understanding). Understanding of Merchandising Planning concepts and principles. A good understanding of MS Excel. Good working knowledge of SAP and APO a plus.
Experience – One or a mixture of the following business areas - Data literacy, factory planning, inventory management, supply chain, merchandising or demand planning.
