Responsibilities: A Sustainability Manager is responsible for overseeing and implementing sustainable practices within Perak Corp and group. Key responsibilities of a Sustainability Manager include formulating and implementing sustainability initiatives. This involves conducting research, analyzing data, and developing strategies to reduce the organization's environmental impact, stay alert with new laws and regulations, as well as industry best practices.
The Sustainability Manager must be capable of measuring and reporting on the organization's progress. This includes establishing sustainability targets, collecting data, and producing reports to monitor the organization's environmental impact and compilation of annual reporting to Bursa listing requirement.
Job Description: 1. Develop and Implement Sustainability Strategies: 
• Create, manage, and execute sustainability plans that align with the organization's goals and regulatory requirements.
• Contributes to refining the sustainability framework, including ESG initiatives.
2. Regulatory Compliance and Reporting: 
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and industry standards. 
• Prepare sustainability reports and communicate progress to stakeholders.
• Manage Sustainability performance and reporting by liaising closely with relevant departments or subsidiaries within the Group of Companies in the compilation and verification of data, and to present the info and findings in the Sustainability Report or any such other reports required as per bursa listing requirement.
3. Resource Management 
• Oversee the efficient use of resources, including energy, water, and raw materials, to minimize waste and maximize operational efficiency.
4. Stakeholder Engagement: 
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to promote sustainability practices throughout the supply chain and community.
5. Innovation and Best Practices:
•  Identify and implement innovative sustainability solutions and best practices to reduce environmental impact.
6. Budget Management: 
• Manage the budget for sustainability initiatives and ensure effective implementation of sustainability projects.
Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in environmental science, Sustainability, Business, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in sustainability role or a similar role, preferably within the real estate or property development industry
• Strong understanding of sustainability principles, environmental regulations, and industry standards and bursa listing requirement.
• Strong understanding of bursa listing requirements, international sustainability standards and best practices (i.e GRI Standards, SDGs, TCFD, etc.)
• Strong critical thinking, meticulous attention to detail, and a well-organized approach to tasks and effective multi-tasker with excellent project management and communication skills.
• High integrity, self-motivated, adaptable, and a strong team player.
