About the Role:
Manage tax and compliance matters across multiple regions, supporting global tax projects and other matters as part of the global tax team. Responsibilities include monitoring tax filings, supporting tax reviews, and training junior staff to establish best practice, ensuring compliance and understanding of tax strategies. You will report to Senior Manager – Tax (KL).
You Will:
Prepare direct and indirect tax returns (including corporation tax, VAT/GST/SST and WHT) for the US, UK and other regions, maintaining accurate and detailed supporting documents.
Communicate with external tax advisors and agents to ensure submission of all tax returns and payments.
Collaborate with team members on regional activities improving the compliance requirements of the UK and US entities, including technical/advisory support and project work.
Review existing tax compliance processes, suggesting and implementing improvements, establishing and documenting processes.
Manage and train junior team members.
Manage tax audits and notices.
Review monthly reconciliations of tax accounts.
Research and document conclusions on tax issues, advising other departments, also coming up with potential solutions/proposals.
Review tax budgets and forecasts.
Respond promptly to all tax and regulatory related matters.
Coordinate meetings with internal and external partners, record meeting notes and ensure resolution of open items.
You Have:
Higher level education or certification in Tax and Accounting.
In-house experience managing tax obligations in multiple jurisdictions.
International tax experience for both direct and indirect tax.
Strong tax compliance experience.
Transfer pricing experience.
Oracle experience.
Experienced in managerial and people management.
