Warehousing, Storage & Distribution (Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics)
To oversee third party warehousing and fulfilment operations, in charge of daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, pick & pack according to client's requirement and outbound process.
Responsible for the warehouse P&L, budget planning, improving work efficiency and reducing cost.
To ensure all B2B and B2C orders are fulfilled (picked, packed and outbound) accurately within the agreed SLA.
Responsible to oversee and ensure the respective function under charge achieve the warehouse KPI's such as productivity, overall cost, backlog, accuracy, etc.
Proficient in capacity planning and throughput shipment, including develop and execute on project-based, ad-hoc solutions arising from client requests.
To ensure sufficient materials, equipment and supplies in receiving, warehouse fulfilment, shipping and distribution.
Comply to materials handling, customers' specific requirements on picking, packing, and shipping requirements.
Control inventory level by conducting physical counts; reconcile with warehouse management system (WMS).
To develop and implement effective warehouse layout, product flow, equipment and product handling systems.
To investigate and resolve any incidents such as discrepancies in inventory, deliveries, damaged product etc.
To recruit, hire, and train new warehouse employees. Coaches, counsels, schedules and disciplines current warehouse employees as needed by enforcing policies and procedures.
To establish, follow and enforce safety standards and procedures in compliance to a healthy work environment and legal requirements.
Job Requirements & Qualifications
Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Business Studies/Administration/Management, Logistic/Transportation or equivalent.
Minimum 5 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
Preferably Manager specialized in third-party warehouse management or equivalent.
Have broad experience in logistics processes (inbound, outbound, inventory and return, also transportation).
Ability to understand general business management and financial concepts and can identify key components in strategic and business plans.
Expertise in warehouse and resource management planning procedures and best practices.
Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Must be able to communicate clearly, both written and orally, as to communicate with employees, fulfilment management team local and regional, other department and business stakeholders including customers.
Must be able to effectively read and interpret information, present numerical data in a resourceful manner, and skilfully gather and analyse information.
Well verse in Lean management best practices (6S, Poka-Yoke, Kaizen, Kanban, MUDA -7 Waste, JIT).
Willing to travel locally / overseas.
