Job Summary:
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing the efficient and effective operations of the warehouse, ensuring proper inventory management, and optimizing the use of space and resources. This role involves leading a team, implementing best practices, and maintaining a safe and organized warehouse environment.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Team Leadership:
Supervise and lead warehouse staff, providing guidance and support.
Foster a positive working environment and promote teamwork among warehouse personnel.
Conduct training sessions to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
Inventory Management:
Implement and maintain inventory control procedures to ensure accuracy and minimize discrepancies.
Monitor stock levels and reorder supplies as needed to prevent stockouts.
Conduct regular inventory audits and cycle counts.
Operational Efficiency:
Optimize warehouse layout and workflow to maximize space utilization.
Implement and improve operational processes to enhance efficiency.
Coordinate with other departments, such as logistics and procurement, to ensure smooth operations.
Safety and Compliance:
Enforce safety protocols and standards within the warehouse.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Conduct regular safety training for warehouse staff.
Technology Utilization:
Oversee the implementation and use of warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant technologies.
Utilize data and analytics to make informed decisions regarding inventory and warehouse processes.
Quality Control:
Implement quality control measures to ensure the accuracy and condition of received and shipped goods.
Address and resolve any quality issues promptly.
Vendor and Carrier Relations:
Collaborate with vendors and carriers to coordinate deliveries and resolve issues.
Negotiate favourable terms and conditions with logistics partners.
Cost Management:
Monitor and control warehouse operational expenses.
Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement measures to improve cost efficiency.
Minimum & Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified in Production and Inventory Management - CPIM) are a plus.
Proven experience in warehouse management or a similar role.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in the use of warehouse management systems and other relevant technologies.
Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.

Bachelor degree or substantial related work experience.
Physical Requirements/Work Environment:
This position primarily works in a warehousing environment. It requires frequent sitting, standing, and walking. Daily use of a computer and other computing and digital devices is required. Must have the ability to lift 50 lbs. and work at heights up to 20 feet. May stand for extended periods when facilitating meetings or walking in the facilities. Some local travel is necessary, so the ability to operate a motor vehicle and maintain a valid Driver's license is required.
