UCSI Schools is seeking a qualified and passionate Mandarin Teacher to teach both primary and secondary students at our Springhill Campus.
The ideal candidate will deliver high-quality Mandarin instruction based on the KSSR and KSSM syllabus while fostering an engaging and inclusive learning environment.Key ResponsibilitiesTeaching and Learning
- Plan and deliver engaging Mandarin lessons to primary and secondary students based on the KSSR (primary) and KSSM (secondary) syllabus.
- Develop lesson plans, teaching materials, and assessments aligned with the curriculum requirements.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation and language practice.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to enhance learning outcomes.Cultural Enrichment
- Introduce students to Chinese culture, traditions, and literature to enrich their language-learning experience.Curriculum Development and Collaboration
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a consistent and progressive Mandarin curriculum across primary and secondary levels.
- Prepare students for language proficiency exams and other relevant assessments.School Engagement
- Participate in school events, parent-teacher meetings, and extracurricular activities as required.Professional Development
- Stay updated on best practices in language teaching and incorporate innovative strategies into lessons.RequirementsEducation
- Bachelor's degree in Mandarin, Chinese Language Education, Linguistics, or a related field.
- Teaching qualification or certification (e.g., Diploma in Education, PGCE).Experience
- Proven experience teaching Mandarin at primary and secondary levels, including familiarity with KSSR and KSSM syllabus.Skills
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage and inspire students.
- Strong classroom management and organizational abilities.
