Good to have Android Testing advantage
Good to have: Able to write and test code using Java, XML, Python, or similar programming languages.
Good foundation knowledge of C, C++, and C# design.
Job Description
• Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Design, create, & execute expert, manual and automated test scripts to validate and verify system requirements and communication devices firmware for mission critical markets in the public safety, commercial and industrial segments.
• Self grooming on the devices features and customer user case of the LMR radios for effectiveness of daily task execution
• Analyze, identify and report software defects and making recommendations to improve the software product
• Perform troubleshooting and triaging of issues with different teams to drive towards root cause identification and resolution.
• Participate in all aspects of product development process including specification definition, design, implementation and testing and possess a good understanding of the various software lifecycle
• Perform necessary analysis required for the project, and identify and solve complex technical problems requiring proper evaluation and analysis as well as make decisions that positively impact the project
• Collaborating with other Test Engineers, Software Programmers and other team members
• Retesting software after bugs are fixed to ensure the program works properly
• Building software testing programs that automate testing processes
• High adaptability and ability to acquire new skills and tools efficiently.
Requirement:
• Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering is required for this position
• Preferably 1 - 2 years equivalent industry (firmware/ software development/test)
• Demonstrated analytical and critical thinking abilities.
• Experience is required for this position assuming education requirements are met.
• Familiarity with Linux, Github and AWS Cloud9.
• Experience in Android development and testing will be an added advantage.
• Able to work independently and possess excellent communication skills.
Good problem solving skills and familiar with software engineering
• Experience with Scrum/Agile/SAFe development methodologies.
• Experience with test case management tool (For e.g. ALM)
• Experience in devices testing of telecommunications/IT networking products.
Able to write and test code using Java, XML, Python, or similar programming languages.
• Very good knowledge/experience with 3GPP/LTE/DMR/WiFi/BLE specs a PLUS.
Good foundation knowledge of C, C++, and C# design.
• Possess strong analytical skills, troubleshooting skills, creatively resolve execution failures and knowledge of software design, to include object oriented design
• Ability to work and communicate well across different design centers
• Very good knowledge with automation, artificial intelligence (AI) & machine learning will be an added advantage.
• Excellent English communication skills advanced both written and spoken.
• Good communication, planning and organization/control skills; strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to be work both independently and as part of a team
